Privacy & Terms

Your privacy, and the fine print.

Last updated: July 25, 2026
The short version: Your statements stay on your device unless you explicitly choose AI recovery for an unclear file. By default, statement reading, categorization, and card matching happen in your browser. Two optional AI tools and email monitoring can send limited data only after you explicitly choose them; the details are below. We collect basic, first-party website analytics, never your financial data.

1. Your statements stay on your device by default

When you use the standard on-device tool, your statements (CSV, PDF, or photo) are read, categorized, and matched to cards entirely inside your web browser, using code running on your own computer or phone. Unless you explicitly choose one of the optional AI tools below, the contents of your statements are not sent to our servers, not stored by us, and not shared with anyone. The default tool still works if you turn off your internet after the page loads. We never ask for a bank login, account numbers, or your Social Security number.

Two optional exceptions, and only if you click the button yourself:

Both are strictly opt-in. If you never click either button, nothing from your statements ever leaves your device. Because the selected page images are not redacted before AI recovery, review the file first and use CSV/QFX, manual entry, or the ignore option if it contains anything you do not want sent to Anthropic. We never ask you to enter a bank login, full card number, or Social Security number.

2. Website analytics (this is not your financial data)

Like most websites, we collect a small amount of information about site visits so we can understand traffic and improve the site. This covers only how the website itself is used, never the contents of your statements. Specifically:

We use this first-party analytics for our own understanding of traffic. We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell or rent your data, and we do not build advertising profiles. To do this, your browser stores a random visitor identifier in local storage (not an advertising cookie).

3. Email updates (opt-in only)

If you choose to sign up for card update emails, then, and only then, we store the email address you give us and a short summary of your spending (for example, your category totals and the card we recommended), so we can tell you when a better card appears for you. This is separate from the optional AI tools described above and happens only because you asked us to watch for you. We do not store your raw statements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update email, which deletes your stored information.

5. Terms of use

For information, not advice. DailyCardWatch is an educational comparison tool. The card rewards, fees, bonuses, and dollar figures it shows are estimates for comparison, based on publicly known offers, and may be out of date or wrong. They are not financial advice and not a guarantee. Always confirm a card's current terms on the issuer's own website before you apply.

Not a financial advisor or credit service. We are not a licensed financial advisor, a bank, a budgeting app, or a credit-approval or credit-repair service. Decisions about which cards to get or how to manage credit are yours.

No guarantee. The tool is provided "as is." We work to keep card data accurate but cannot promise it is complete or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made based on it. Approval, rewards, and terms are set by the card issuers, not by us.

Card names are the property of their respective issuers, used here for identification and comparison only. Any personas or figures in sample reports are illustrative examples, not real customers.
